Oh my dear...that's the greatest thing ever. Simon and Garfunkel = awesome.
I haven't commented on your entries lately, but it's not for lack of love. I just don't know what to say to help out, so I end up not saying anything at all (which...really kind of is the worse thing to do I suppose, but I don't want to say something trite and come off as sounded obligated [which I'm not]). I hope you are well and I hope things are getting better from what you were feeling last week.
You're a great person, and if you think you would be happier changing things about yourself, then do it. It might be difficult and strange since you've been that way for a long time, but if you've felt some sort of enlightenment and now see them as faults, don't feel bad that you have/d those traits. Just fix them and move on. You'll become a strong individual.
Also think about whether it is really you or the environment around you. A wonderful trait you have might be looked down on by a certain group, but that doesn't make it any less wonderful by itself.
Any way you are, you have people that like you the way you are, even if they are unable to see or speak with you regularly. They like you how you are now, and they'll like how you are if you change (Ha, if you change for the BETTER, ;D).
