(no subject)

So I'm back from Cornerstone. It was alright. Not as fun as I had hoped, but that was probably because I have a lot of stuff on my mind and am not able to put it aside to think about at a more convenient time. Mainly it was because of Julie. She's such a perfect Christian, so open about her faith, and up against her I'm nothing. SHe's constantly talking about GOd this and God that and frankly, I get tired of it. Especially right now, because I don't feel very close to God. I'm not even sure if he's working in my life. But yeah, Julie's so perfect and considering I still miss Jared, I don't WANT to hear about how perfect she and TOm are doing, and that they plan on getting married sooner than was previously planned. Jared and I had planned on getting married too. This hurts.

Anyway, I hate it when you go see a band when you don't know their music. Carroll recommended some bands I go see when I was down there, none of them music I had heard of (except Brandtson and Cool Hand Luke)and I can't seem to really HEAR the music when I'm listening to the show. The songs just don't stick with me and I can never form an opinion on whether I liked the band or not. Is anybody else like that? So I can never really know if I like them or not until after I've listened x amount of times to the CD. SO that sort of sucked.

Bands I saw worth repeating (since I was with my roommate Julie, we had to compromise a bit and I had to see some of her bands that I don't particularly care for):

-aireline, both their full length and their E.P. I LOVE this band
-brandtson, Fallen Star Collection and their new one, Send Us A Signal (also came with a free militia group sampler)
(Note: I'm so glad I got to get Fallen Star Collection, I wasn't sure if they would bring out their older stuff or not)
-the evan anthem
-emery

What really sucked was that the one band I knew all the songs to, Cool Hand Luke, I could only stay for two songs of because my roommate had to be back that night at a certain time to see a friend from California. See, originally, she had said "20 minutes" but guess what happened with my luck? They were fifteen minutes late getting started!!! SO I only got to hear two songs. And they weren't even my favorites. :(

And Brandtson, I only knew 2 songs.

Anyway, I would write more, but I'm tired and I want to go to bed, and for some reason, I STILL am not feeling motivated to write in this thing.

GAH! Help me, God.
