(no subject)

What does it mean to have understanding? In the book of Proverbs, what does Solomon mean when he says to "gain understanding?" And that understanding is the way to life? What does he MEAN? Understand what? Understand God? We can't understand God. I mean, maybe we do to an extent, or we at least can have theories as to why He does something, but can we really UNDERSTAND? I mean I guess that's why we have the Bible, to understand God...and while maybe it's true that we CAN understand God to an extent, there's still so much we just don't know. So what are we supposed to be "understanding" in life?

I'm not sure I have understanding. If I did, would I be this inquisitive?
