Okay seriously. Jesus/God has to be real. It just doesn't make SENSE otherwise. Honestly.
And all these questions and humanic fears...they have to be covered by God's grace. Honestly. All these wonderings...all these fears that originate from one's very own salvation (which I always thought just HAD to mean I wasn't a Christian...or something) HAVE HAVE HAVE to be covered by God's grace. Otherwise, His grace is not so "amazing" after all. And I believe (by His strength, not mine...dude it's SO not by mine) that all this crap HAS to be covered.
It HAS to ultimately boil down to this: "For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." - Romans 8:39.
It is ULTIMATELY in God's hands. It HAS to be. Jesus died for us...we didn't die for HIM! So logically it WOULD be right to assume that He would have all THIS crap covered TOO! If God ultimately chooses US and salvation is in HIS hands and is done by HIM, then it doesn't, at all, depend on us. When we believe, THAT'S not even us, really. God GIVES US the CAPACITY FOR that belief.
Okay, I'm done.
And I am exhausted from thinking. So I think I'm just going to...not think. (haha, no pun intended.)

Keep the faith!
Date: 2003-09-09 05:10 pm (UTC)You may feel confused and you may be doubting. But remember, true faith is believing through the doubts. "Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see." Hebrews 11:1
God's grace is truly amazing. We don't deserve it at all, but He gives it freely. There is nothing we can do to be good enough, and that's why we doubt. We're not perfect and the thought of a perfect God loving us is difficult to understand. But by faith we do. By faith we believe, and by faith we are saved.
Keep studying and keep learning what God has for you...I am sure that it is something greater than you have ever imagined. Don't let others discourage. You know where your heart is and more importantly, God knows.
